Waiver
If you are making this booking on behalf of a group (any one than yourself), it is your responsibility to make all users aware of the information in this waiver, to ensure they agree, and to practice safe sauna use.
Health & Medical

Anyone under the age of 16 is not permitted to use the sauna.

All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk. If you have any reservations regarding sauna use, such as medical conditions, underlying health problems, history of dizziness or fainting, the use of prescription drugs, or pregnancy, it is essential that you consult your GP before making a booking. By agreeing to our waiver you understand the risks and have consulted with a medical professional. You understand and take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing.

Anyone entering the sauna assumes full responsibility of their medical / health condition, to include but not limited to, any medications the person may be taking which could result in a medical emergency or unsafe condition. All persons must know their own limitations and assumes all risks associated with any activities in which they may engage in while in Môr a Sawna or the surrounding premises.

All persons using the cold shower, drench bucket, or cold immersion pods do so at their own risk. It is your own responsibility to ensure that you can handle being exposed to the cold temperatures.
General

Please shower before arriving.

Swimwear must be worn in the sauna at all times.

Môr a Sawna accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal belongings.

Smoking and e-cigarettes of any kind are not permitted in or around our facility. No glass containers or bottles are permitted at any time in our sauna.

Alcohol and drug use is strictly prohibited in and around the sauna. Môr a Sawna operators reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.

By agreeing to this waiver, you acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in the use of the saunas. You voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident or death, which may arise from the use of our facility. You hereby waive and release Môr a Sawna from any and all liability, past, present and future relating to sauna sessions.

Phone or electronics don’t like heat. If you choose to use any electronics or technology during your sauna session, you do so at your own risk. Môr a Sawna is not liable for these

Môr a Sawna is in no way responsible for the loss or damage of your belongings while you partake in the sauna.

If you are using the sea as a ‘cold plunge’ you do so at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are a capable swimmer and can handle being exposed to the temperatures and varying conditions of the sea.

Surfaces can become wet and slippery caused by water, ice or snow, take care when entering and exiting the sauna in a safe manner.

Please keep personal belongings to a minimum – Môr a Sawna accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of any belongings.
Using the Sauna

Please leave footwear outside the sauna.

Please wash your feet in the trays provided before entering the sauna.

Please sit on your towel and wear swimwear whilst using our sauna. Towels are required to be used in the sauna. We require that you use them during your sessions for cleanliness. Please place a towel down on the benches prior to sitting down. Please sit on the towel so that it can absorb any sweat or perspiration during your session.

The operation of the wood burning stove is STRICTLY for staff members of Môr a Sawna. Please do not touch the stove, stones or chimney.

Please only pour water on the stones from the bucket and ladle provided. Please do not add oils or anything else to the water.

Use caution when pouring on the stones as hot steam will rise and could burn your arm. You should start by pouring at the back of the stove and bringing the ladle forward so that your arm is never in contact with the steam.

Please respect other sauna bathers. Any disorderly behaviour is not permitted and the sauna operator reserves the right to remove disorderly users at any time.

Take care when moving in or outside the sauna - be aware of wet or uneven surfaces. If you wish to walk outside with no shoes on to promote grounding, be mindful of sharp objects.

Please rinse/clean yourself with water after being in the sea.

Take care when entering/ using/ exiting the sauna and surrounding area.

In case of an emergency exit the sauna and notify the operator immediately for further instructions.
Practicing Safe Sauna

Prolonged exposure to the sauna may cause your body to overheat. Limit yourself to a maximum of 15 minutes (depending on experience). We advise beginners to start with 3 - 5 minutes.

Overexposure to high temperatures can be dangerous. We recommend drinking plenty of water before and after you use the sauna.

In the sauna there are benches going all around. The closer you are to the wood burning stove the hotter you may find it, so place yourself according to your comfort level.

Exit immediately if nauseous, uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy, and notify the sauna operator.

Do not use the sauna if you have recently consumed alcohol, drugs or medications. Use the sauna at your own risk.

Any metal in the sauna such as Jewellery and watches will retain heat and therefore is not suggested to bring into the sauna.

Stay hydrated before, during and after sauna use.

If you use the drench bucket or sea to cool down take care. Take your time entering the sea and listen to your body.
Sea Safety
Môr a Sawna are not able to assume any legal responsibility for anyone using the sea. While we are always keen to share our passion for outdoor swimming, as this is where our journey began, all swimmers must be solely responsible for making their own assessment as to the risks involved in any particular swim. We advise beginners to start with 2 - 5 minutes.​ Take your time entering the sea and listen to your body.
